Hi I'm Manan Goel, I am from Karnal a small town situated in Haryana, currently studying in IIIT Hyderabad. I've been given quite a few responsibilities since my childhood. I was a part of the student's council which dealt with the management of school level event. I was elected as the deputy head which my school called the ASPL which gave me invaluable experience.
I love to travel especially in the mountains. I have been trekking and backpacking in the Tirthan Valley in Himachal Pradesh. I'm also an avid reader especially books from authors like Jeffrey Archer, Ruskin Bond, Roald Dahl and Dick Francis.
I'm pursuing a B.Tech. in Computer Science followed by an M.S. in Computational Natural Sciences in which I'll be specialising in the application of Machine Learning in computational biochemistry. My other interests include server side scripting. I am also the administrator of the Open Source Development Group of IIIT-H.
Most of my experience is with server side scripting, game development, creating/optimising web crawlers, database management and Machine Learning with Cheminformatics.
I'm pursuing my Bachelor's degree in International Institute of Information Technology in Hyderabad and am currently in my fourth year.

Generating drug like molecules using Machine Learning for targeted diseases.
My project aimed to add support for ANI style neural networks to the RDKit cheminformatics package as an additional Force Field for
studying molecular conformers. This involved implementing neural networks from scratch in C++ using only linear algebra libraries while
implementing back propogation.
Along with this I also implemented python wrappers for all the C++ functionalities so that it more widely usable.
Developing new features for the Flask based webapp of the company.
Maintain previously implemented features and tweak them according to client feedback.
Implement functional and unit tests for the web app in Docker using pytest and Selenium.
